Message from the Chairperson of Scientific Committee

I am delighted to write on behalf of the Scientific Committee.

As the single forum of kidney care physicians of Nepal, Nepal Society of Nephrology (NSN) has a multitude of responsibilities including promotion of skills of members and non-member physicians, representation in international renal activities, participation in national policy making efforts, awareness activities in the community, and also meeting the individual needs of its fellow members in many aspects.

In an effort to upgrade the academic portfolio of the kidney care physicians in Nepal, we present to you the next edition of our academic conference. The Fifth Conference of NSN, the NSNCon25, will focus on equity in access to quality nephrology care. The NSN will host this conference in the Radisson Hotel, Lazimpat, Kathmandu on 21st and 22nd March 2025.

The core content of this conference will be embroidered with plenary sessions, invited lectures, free papers and discussion sessions on how equity in access to quality nephrology care can be achieved. We include faculties from Nepal and abroad to deliver their knowledge in the benefit of the participants and the whole nephrology community. The invited faculties will deliver their knowledge for the benefit of the delegate participants. Invited lectures from these faculties will be important tools for the new generation to learn from the experience of the veterans who took the quality of renal care in their circumstances. New generation of nephrologists will envision their stake in the quality of renal care today and in the future.

It is an opportunity for the researchers to showcase the results of their hard work and participate in mutual exchange of ideas amongst fellows working in various conditions. It is a method to disseminate the outcomes of our research to a broader audience for the benefit of a wider group of patients. Clinical researchers can submit the abstracts of their work to disseminate the results of their hard work.

I welcome you all and take this opportunity to request you to participate in the conference and contribute to equity in access to quality nephrology care reducing disasters due to kidney diseases in Nepali people.

Keep coming back to our website www.nsn.org.np for updates in the scientific agenda in relation to NSNCon25.

Thank you
